Tech History Worth Reading

 

I ran across an article on Fast Company recently, about a Black man who was a pioneer in gaming back in the late 70s, early 80s. The article is Ed Smith and the Imagination Machine, and it gives a deep look into the state of the industry at that time, and Ed’s overcoming many obstacles to become a standards maker for the protocols followed by game designers today. It’s a fascinating look at the times.
